Teesside HIFU

Based in Yarm, Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside HIFU offers High Internsity Focused Ultrasound, a relatively new cosmetic treatment for skin tightening, which is non-invasive and non-surgical. It uses ultrasound to target energy at different layers in the skin, to stimulate the production of collagen, which results in firmer and more youthful looking skin.

HIFU was first used for aesthetics in 2008. It was approved by the FDA in 2014 for use in non-surgical face lifts and for the décolletage, although it is also used all over the body to sculpt and improve the appearance of cellulite.

In clinical trials,  HIFU has been shown to be safe and effective for face lifts and wrinkle reduction. The final results are seen within about 6 weeks to 3 months of treatment, although a slight improvement can sometimes be seen straight away, with the results improving over time.

HIFU has been found to be a promising treatment that could replace face lifts, especially in younger people who don’t want the risks and recovery time associated with surgery.

HIFU works best on people in their 30s – 50s / early 60s who are starting to see skin laxity, jowls and wrinkles. Usually only one treatment is necessary and the results last for one to two years. It is less effective on more severe cases of sagging skin, although the treatment can be repeated up to 3 times to improve results.

Teesside HIFU offers non surgical face lifts and body sculpting to the areas of Teesside and beyond, including Yarm, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool, Northallerton, Thirsk, Catterick, Richmond, Stokesley, York, Harrogate, Sunderland, Durham, Redcar, Billingham, Sedgefield, Barnard Castle, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe, Peterlee and Newcastle.
